EUREKA, Juab County — More than 1,000 motorcyclists gathered Saturday morning to ride for a good cause, in the culmination of an idea that began three years ago.

It was the third annual Ride to Light Up Eureka, a fundraising drive to purchase some new street lights for the small Juab County town, located 70 miles to the south of Salt Lake City.

The riders zigged and zagged their way from Salt Lake to Eureka, where they saw their donations at work. The newly installed street lights on Eureka's historic Main Street are now shining brightly.

"My favorite part about the ride is when you're all riding together and you just feel the strength, and kind of the brotherhood of everybody riding together, and you know you're riding for such a great cause," said Ron Burt, a participate in the event.

Ride to Light Up Eureka was put on by Intermountain Harley-Davidson and KSL's own Doug Wright.
