(KSL News) A couple convicted in the brutal murder of a 10-year-old girl will not be getting out of prison for at least 33 years.
Yesterday, the Utah Board of Pardons and Parole decided the first date Ryan and Angela Andrews will be able to ask for parole will be in 2041. Both pleaded guilty to murder in connection with the death of Ryan's daughter, Shelby, who suffocated after being locked in a small closet.
In setting the hearing date, the board cited the brutality of the crime and previous evidence of serious abuse before Shelby died.
