RIVERDALE — An Ogden man died when he lost control of his SUV on I-15 in Riverdale Wednesday morning. Investigators believe fatigue may have been a factor.
Ogden resident Maurice Charlston, 56, was traveling north at 5:38 a.m. when his Ford Explorer veered to the right, according to a statement from the Utah Highway Patrol.
Charlston then over-corrected and his vehicle rolled four to five times, landing on an embankment north of Riverdale Road.
Charlston was wearing a seat belt, the UHP reported, but he died at the scene.
UHP reported four additional crashes as a result of other drivers not paying attention to the road but instead watching the fatal crash scene.
