WEST VALLEY CITY — A bomb squad blew up a suspicious package at offices for the C.R. England trucking Monday evening.
West Valley City police officers on the scene, at 4701 W. 2100 South, said a disgruntled employee made called in a bom threat after leaving a suspicious-looking box outside the office building.
The threat forced employees to evacuate and prompted police to clear the area.
After blowing up the box, officers found religious pamphlets and a towel inside.
So far, investigators have found no evidence this was more than a threat, but as of 7 p.m. police were still sweeping the area to make sure.
