SALT LAKE CITY — Not many young men would rather spend their time in the kitchen than playing video games, but this week's Wednesday's Child is an aspiring chef, and he's sure to capture your heart.

Andrew is is a 17-year-old boy, all dressed in white, and always thrilled to be in the middle of a kitchen. And Andrew isn't really your typical teenager. For his shoot, he chose a private cooking lesson at Harmon's, and he was thrilled to learn new technique from a pro.

"I do like cooking," he said.

Andrew also loves the guitar and having a good time with friends.

"I would definitely love to be adopted, to have a family for a while," he said. "I haven't had a family like at all in my entire life, so I feel that would be pretty cool."

Andrew has spent five years in foster care. Five years without stability, permanency and unconditional love. And if his new parents are out there somewhere watching his story, he has this message for them.

"Anything's worth a shot," he said.
