SALT LAKE CITY — A man has been arrested after allegedly kidnapping his wife from her friend's apartment following a dispute.

Christian Perez, 27, had gotten into an argument with his 23-year-old wife when his wife went to a friend's apartment located at 1330 W. 500 North.

Perez forced his way into the apartment, pushing down the residents as they attempted to prevent him from reaching his wife, who was upstairs, according to the Salt Lake City Police Department.

The husband dragged his wife from the apartment against her will, according to police. Officers located the couple later in the evening and arrested Perez on suspicion of burglary, kidnapping and three counts of assault.

Perez's wife was unharmed.
