MAGNA — Police are looking for a man suspected of robbing a Wells Fargo in Magna on Monday morning.

The suspect entered the bank, located at 8295 W. 3500 South, at 11:07 a.m. and gave the teller a note demanding money and saying he had a weapon. No witnesses saw the weapon, and there were no injuries reported.

"Obviously he said he had a weapon, although one was not displayed, so we would consider him armed and dangerous," said Lt. Justin Hoyal with the Unified Police Department.

The man obtained an undisclosed amount of cash and fled west on foot. Police were unable to locate him, and are asking the public to come forward with any information.

"We want to get him off the street before he has the chance to do this again or someone gets hurt," Hoyal said.

The suspect was described as a Caucasian male, 50–60 years old, about 6 feet tall and weighing about 200 pounds. He was wearing dark-rimmed glasses with a chain hanging off one side and a black "Harper" hoodie.

Anyone with information about the robbery should contact Unified Police Department at 801-743-5863.
