SALT LAKE CITY — Santa and the Grinch, as well as some live reindeer from the North Pole kicked off the annual ZooLights! tradition Saturday.
Hundreds of people attended the annual lighting ceremony, including one family who got to flip the switch with Santa to turn on the lights.
The family, from Brigham City, is spending their first Christmas together in three years. The father has been deployed with the armed forces in Iraq over the previous holidays.
The ZooLights! display will remain up throughout the month of December.
