SALT LAKE CITY — The Nets have moved from New Jersey to Brooklyn, and now the team has a new mascot: the fully armored "BrooklyKnight." He was unveiled by being brought down from the rafters with his super hero style Nets logo on his shield. This is in part because he was created in association with Marvel Comics.

But the real question is, with the black main color the Nets use, how long before the "Knight" becomes the "Black Knight"? This could be awesome. Just think of every blocked shot with a Monty Python soundbite of "None Shall Pass."

Then if an opposing player gets injured he gets to say, "It's just a flesh wound."

And lastly, if the Nets are ever losing at home, they can rally the troops with, "Alright we'll call it a draw."

Please, please make this happen. I will buy season tickets right now, or at least watch "Monty Python and the Holy Grail" right now, whichever comes first.

Until then, we'll just enjoy this scene.

East and Timpview don't seem that bad:

Hi, my name is Javier Jones, I'm a transfer student and I want to play football.

That was probably the basis of the conversation that 21-year-old James Nash has with Mount Pleasant, a high school in Michigan, as he tried to get back into football this season.

He said he was transferring from a school in Lansing, and made the team. Then the school got aware of the problem from an anonymous parent who got wind of the problem and the school reported it to the board.

This is sort of like what happened with East and Timpview here in Utah, in that it is a recruiting violation. Those teams had mostly clerical errors. This team had a player that was way too old to play.

The other and perhaps bigger difference was the record of these schools. The Utah schools were looking to get knocked out of the playoffs after a season of being among the best in state.

Mount Pleasant wasn't very good even with a literal man playing with boys. They were 4-5, and Nash played in the final four they won two and lost two. They had to ultimately forfeit the games to end 2-7.

Right city wrong team:

Well Lamar Odom was gone from Los Angeles for a season, but now he is back just on the other L.A. team, it's just that he can't remember which is which apparently.

To be fair Odom, who is with the Clippers, has now played for the Clippers and the Lakers before this year. He was being interviewed during Clippers media day and was introducing himself, but said that he was playing for the Lakers.

He didn't realize he said it, but it is there on video. Now time is ticking for when the Clippers and Lakers play and he takes introductions for both teams. Who knows which locker room he will come out of.

But to be fair, at this point he hasn't forgotten which Kardashian sister he is married to, even if the rest of America has.

Unsportsmanlike language:

Okay, maybe the replacement refs weren't that bad. They might have cost the Packers a game and done a lot of weird things, but ultimately at least they never swore on national television.

This actually did happen in the Dophins and Colts game when Tony Corrente started arguing with another official about a call and didn't realize his mic was on. As the discussion got interesting the television flashed to him and the sound went on and some profane language peeked out.

The Associated Press also added that there was another profanity that the crowd heard, but wasn't heard on CBS, the televising network.

After the aired curse announcer Kevin Harlan apologized, but there aren't more officials to replace these ones.

My brother the general manager:

He was a number one pick, signed the biggest contract in NFL history, got sent to jail and got out to sign a $100 million contract and now his brother wants him out.

Mike Vick has had an up and down career to say the least. This year has been more down, but it is a far cry from prison. His brother however still wants him somewhere else.

Marcus Vick was a promising young quarterback looking to follow in his brother's footsteps. The only problem is he followed the wrong path. Never talented enough to come back like Mike, Marcus was busted a few times after making NFL rosters. Now he might be trying out a new career as Mike's agent or a general manager.

Please trade my brother. We requesting out of Philly!!!! Please please please.....

–Marcus Vick tweeting for his brother Mike

During the Monday Night Football game between Saints and the Eagles Mike was sacked seven times and Marcus had enough.

He tweeted from his @MVFive account, "Please trade my brother. We requesting out of Philly!!!! Please please please....." By the end of the season he might have his wish. The Eagles are struggling and Andy Reid, the man who wanted Vick there, might be on the hot seat as well. Maybe Marcus can take over next year.
