Principal Warns Parents to Avoid Movie
November 9th, 2007 @ 4:31pm

A Davis County elementary school principal sends a warning, but he used the wrong form of communication to do it.

Muir Elementary School Principal Kevin Prusse sent an e-mail out to parents telling them not to take their kids to the movie "The Golden Compass."

"The movie allegedly is anti-God. I have no idea if that's the case," explained Davis School District spokesman Chris Williams.

Williams says Prusse felt like he was trying to protect his students, but abused his e-mail privileges. "He acknowledges that he will not use our district e-mail system again to send this sort of information," Williams said.

Williams says the principal received only one negative e-mail in response but several thanking him for the heads-up.
