The officer, Ben Beglarian, left his vehicle in the store parking lot and began walking toward the nearby InTown Suites motel, reportedly to meet someone. Beglarian, a K-9 officer, was confronted by officers who found drug paraphernalia inside his vehicle, Hoyal said.

Hoyal said charges have yet to be screened by the city attorney and brought before Beglarian.
