PROVO, Utah (AP) -- The Utah Lake Commission has created an educational outreach program for Utah County schools.

The program includes a fourth-grade curriculum, YouTube videos and free field trips.

Commission director Reed Price told The Daily Herald of Provo the goal is to use Utah Lake as an educational example.

The curriculum was created over the summer by working with fourth-grade teachers from the Alpine, Provo and Nebo school districts. The program includes lesson plans that teach core concepts in math, language arts, science, and social studies using Utah Lake. Teachers can find information about the lesson plans and qualifying for free field trips at UtahLakeCommission.org.
