BRIGHAM CITY -- A Brigham City man was killed when the driver of a dump truck ran a red light and smashed into his vehicle.

Police say 60-year-old Gordon Tingey was driving south on 775 West around 3 p.m. Saturday. As he was driving through the intersection of U.S. 91, a 39-year-old dump truck driver pulling a trailer T-boned Tingey's car.

Tingey was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police interviewed the driver of the dump truck, who is from Orem, and will refer the case to the Box Elder County Attorney's office for possible charges.
