BLUFFDALE -- Troopers believe debris in the road caused a motorcycle crash on Interstate 15 Tuesday afternoon.
The Utah Highway Patrol says the motorcycle rider was heading north near the Bluffdale exit when he hit a plastic garbage can in the HOV lane.
The collision sent the motorcycle crashing into the barrier and the man about 150 feet away. He suffered road burns and head injuries and was flown to the hospital in serious condition.
