The Utah Department of Agriculture and Food says it will hold hearings in August or September on more than 3,500 violations of procedures and record-keeping at Bountiful-based Bugman Pest and Lawn Inc.

A company employee facing misdemeanor charges has been accused of placing a rodent-killing chemical too close to the foundation wall of a Layton home where two girls, 4-year-old Rebecca and 15-month old Rachel Toone, died in February from vapors that seeped into the house.

He faces trial in the girls' deaths on June 8.

The Salt Lake Tribune says the citations show that it was the sixth time Bugman Pest applied the poison Fumitoxin dangerously close to a home.

Bugman Pest didn't return a phone message left Sunday by The Associated Press.
