(KSL News) A third day of testimony begins this morning in the sentencing hearing for Robert Houston.

Last month Houston pleaded guilty to murdering Rachael Elton.

Today the jury is expected to hear from the co-owner of the group home where Elton worked.

The state wrapped up its case yesterday with emotional testimony from the victim's father. Defense attorneys then called several school teachers who knew Houston. All said he was a good or excellent student.

The defense is trying to convince the jury to leave open the possibility of parole.
