SARATOGA SPRINGS -- City leaders in Saratoga Springs are telling hundreds of people to boil their water.
City and health workers found a contaminant that could cause stomach or intestinal illness. They say those affected should boil their drinking water for at least one minute or use bottled water.
The order impacts the north half of the city -- residents, schools and businesses above 400 South. Subdivisions affected by the order include:
- Harvest Hills
- Aspen Hills
- Sunrise Meadows
- Dalmore Meadows
- Summer Village
- Sunset Haven
- Sierra Estates
- Riverbend
- The Cove at the Jordan River
- The Gables
- Sergeant Court
- Daybreak at Harvest Hills
- Hillcrest Condominiums
Workers are delivering boiling instructions to homes and businesses in the affected area. City officials say they're working as fast as possible to find and treat the source of the contamination.
The order will stay in effect until further notice.
