Police have released more details about the fatal end to a standoff in Cache County.

28-year-old Greg Martin Lamb was shot and killed by Logan and Cache County SWAT members. North Park Police say he became violent with family members, fired several shots inside the Hyde Park home and holed up inside the house.

After more than 90-minutes of negotiations, police say he hung up and exited the house through a rear basement window.

Police say Lamb was armed with at least two semi-automatic guns. Officers commanded him to stop and drop the weapons. Instead, police say he confronted officers and that is when they opened fire.

Lamb's cousin, Jonathan (he did not want his last name used), tells KSL Newsradio he doesn't believe the explanation from police.

"He's not the kind of guy that would come out like Butch Cassidy for a firefight in this situation, even if he was scared," he said.

Jonathan says it was an execution. "If he came out with the gun, OK, he came out with the gun. But did he fire on them? Was he dropping the gun?"

He wants to see police video to prove if his cousin threatened officers.

The investigation is ongoing and being lead by the Cache County Sheriff's Office.
