LONDON (AP) — British Athletics says Mo Farah will compete in the 3,000 meters at the Diamond League meeting at London's Olympic Stadium.

The event, scheduled for July 24-25, will see Farah running on the track where he won two gold medals at the 2012 Olympic Games as he steps up preparations for the World Championships in Beijing next month.

Farah says "this year's World Championships are incredibly important to me and the 3,000 meters will be the best possible preparation."

The 32-year-old Farah has not competed since the allegations last month that his coach Alberto Salazar, who is based in the United States, was involved in breaking anti-doping rules.

Farah is scheduled to run in the 5,000 meters at Friday's Diamond League meeting in Lausanne.
