TOKYO (AP) — Two major Japanese information technology companies have signed on as top-tier domestic sponsors for the Tokyo 2020 Olympics.

Tokyo organizers on Thursday said NEC Corp. and Fujitsu Ltd. have joined the list of Japanese companies supporting the games.

NEC will introduce security technology for face and fingerprint authentication and network-related products, while Fujitsu will provide servers for data during the games.

Tokyo's domestic sponsorships are separate from the global TOP sponsorship program run by the International Olympic Committee. Japanese tire manufacturer Bridgestone and Panasonic are among worldwide sponsors.

Other domestic sponsors include Nippon Telegraph and Telephone Corp., Canon Inc. and Asahi Breweries Ltd.
