LAUSANNE, Switzerland (AP) — The IOC says no final decision has been made on holding an executive board meeting next year in Sochi, the Russian city which hosted the 2014 Winter Olympics.

The International Olympic Committee said earlier Wednesday that the board would meet in Sochi from April 22-24 in conjunction with the SportAccord global sports industry convention.

But the IOC said later the dates and venue of the board meeting hadn't been finalized.

SportAccord, which represents Olympic and non-Olympic sports federations, announced Tuesday it will hold its annual convention in Sochi — despite global criticism of Russia following the downing of a Malaysian airliner over Ukraine.

The IOC has traditionally scheduled an executive board meeting during the convention.

The IOC says in a statement: "We are in the process of discussing dates and operational details with SportAccord before confirming our EB meeting in Sochi."
