PERTH, Australia (AP) — Peter Whiteford of Scotland had back-to-back rounds of 66 to hold a one-shot lead at the halfway mark of the Perth International.
Whiteford, who needs to finish first or second to retain his European Tour card, moved to 12 under with an eagle on the par-5 7th — his 16th hole on Friday — to move ahead of Denmark's Thorbjorn Olesen, who followed up his first-round 64 with a 69.
Sihwan Kim of South Korea was in third place at 10 under.
James Morrison of England hit a course-record 9-under 63 to move into a share of fourth place with David Drysdale of Scotland at 9 under.
Jason Dufner, the 2013 U.S. PGA champion, made the cut in his first tournament in almost three months with two rounds of 70.
