ISTANBUL (AP) — Substitute Viktor Tsygankov scored a second-half goal for Dynamo Kiev to salvage a 1-1 draw at Besiktas in the Champions League on Wednesday.
The 18-year-old midfielder was at the far post in the 65th minute to meet a free kick from Andriy Yarmolenko and net just three minutes after he came off the bench. His goal denied Besiktas a victorious home return to the Champions League after a seven-year absence.
Portugal forward Ricardo Quaresma put the hosts ahead with a perfectly executed free kick from 22 meters in the 29th minute, giving goalkeeper Artur Rudko no chance to save in his Champions League debut.
Napoli keeps a perfect record with a 4-2 victory over Benfica on Wednesday to lead Group B. Besiktas is second with two points, Dynamo and Benfica have one each.
