NEW YORK (AP) — Maple Leafs forward Richard Panik has been fined $2,000 by the NHL for falling down and trying to draw a penalty.

Panik made contact with Capitals defenseman Mike Green in the second period of Toronto's 4-0 loss at Washington on Sunday. Panik spun and flopped to the ice after he and Green came together on the city and Green received a minor penalty for holding.

It was Panik's second offense this season, after he received a warning in Toronto's game against Montreal on Feb. 14.
