NEW YORK (AP) — The New York Knicks have signed veteran forward Lou Amundson for the remainder of the season.

The Knicks announced they were keeping Amundson on Friday after the expiration of his second 10-day contract. They had to offer him a deal for the rest of the season if they wanted to keep him.

Amundson has appeared in seven games, making six starts, since signing his first 10-day deal on Jan. 20. He has averaged 6.4 points and 6.0 rebounds.
