ATLANTA (AP) — Atlanta Hawks forward DeMarre Carroll missed the game against Portland on Friday night because of a left Achilles strain, and his replacement lasted only two minutes.
Thabo Sefolosha started for Carroll and left with a right calf strain early in the opening quarter. The Hawks said Sefolosha would not return.
The Hawks didn't update Carroll's status for Saturday night's game against Philadelphia.
Carroll is averaging 11.8 points and 5.3 rebounds. He missed four games with a groin strain in November.
Atlanta backup point guard Shelvin Mack is sidelined for his sixth straight game with a left calf strain.
