NEW ORLEANS (AP) — San Antonio Spurs guard Tony Parker is not playing against the New Orleans Pelicans on Friday night because of the lingering effects of a left hamstring strain.
Parker played the last two games, including Thursday's 114-106 loss to Oklahoma City. But coach Gregg Popovich said the injury is still a problem.
Parker scored 26 points in nearly 34 minutes against the Clippers on Monday, but recorded only 10 points in 27 minutes against the Thunder. He has missed eight of the past 11 games.
The Spurs also will be without forward Kawhi Leonard, who has a bruised right hand.
