CHAPEL HILL, N.C. (AP) — North Carolina says junior defensive tackle Nazair Jones will enter the NFL draft.
In a statement released by the school Friday, Jones said he was "thankful" for his time at UNC, while coach Larry Fedora called Jones a leader on the defensive line and "someone everyone on the team respected."
Jones has a career-high 62 tackles to go with 7½ tackles for loss, 1½ sacks, a forced fumble, a fumble recovery and three pass breakups this season.
The Tar Heels (8-4) face Stanford in the Sun Bowl on Dec. 31.
