ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. (AP) — The Buffalo Bills will be getting more room for practice.

The team announced Thursday that it has acquired a small plot of land directly next to its existing practice facility in Orchard Park, New York, which includes a fieldhouse and an outdoor field. The newly acquired land will be used to expand the Bills outdoor grass field.

The land purchased is an empty lot that had been previously used as a private parking lot for events at Ralph Wilson Stadium.

The expansion project is set to be completed by next spring.

Coach Rex Ryan helped prompt the purchase by suggesting he required additional space to conduct practices.
