FLOWERY BRANCH, Ga. (AP) — With Matt Bryant slowed by a right quadriceps injury, the Atlanta Falcons have signed kicker Shayne Graham.

To make room, the Falcons waived former starting linebacker Joplo Bartu on Thursday.

Bryant was limited in practice. The 40-year-old already has missed four attempts this season, including a 46-yarder in last Sunday's 24-21 loss to the Indianapolis Colts. He had only three misses each of the last two seasons.

The 37-year-old Graham has played with nine teams, connecting on 266 of 311 field goal attempts in his career. In his most recent stop, he made 19 of 22 field goals for the New Orleans Saints last season.

Bartu was an undrafted player who started 27 games over his first two seasons in Atlanta. But he's played just six games under new coach Dan Quinn, with one start.
