Alta Community Enrichment creates opportunities in the Little Cottonwood community for individual and group participation in arts, cultural events, and education. They offer more than 60 year-round programs in a stimulating mountain environment. The events are varied and include the Wildflower, Snowflake and Telluride Mountain Film Festivals; Welcome to Winter Slide Show; live local music and artist shows; as well as dance and culinary instruction. Many of these events are inspired by input from local artists and families. These quality and diverse events are offered for free or low cost to attendees. Alta Community Enrichment is proud of their Alta School Outreach Program, which establishes new arts and educational programming at Alta’s one room public school in the Goldminer’s Daughter Lodge. Since 2007, their grant program has awarded over $32,000 to community members for their art, education, and community service endeavors. SelectHealth recognizes the connection to the arts provided by Alta Community Enrichment as another example of how Utah Gives Back.
