The forecast is Lake Powell will rise approximately 45 feet this summer, which will put all the launch ramps back in full service. Predictions, too, are that fishing for striped bass, smallmouth bass and walleye will be excellent this year.

Some Utah ski resorts have closed, others will close before the end of the month and one, Snowbird, will carry on into May. Overall, predictions are that Utah's 14 resorts will see skier/snowboarder number above totals for 2012-13.
