After six days without word of the condition of six LDS missionaries on the island of Ambae in the South Pacific nation of Vanuatu, two zone leaders reached the island by boat Thursday, made contact and found them safe and healthy.

The devastating South Pacific storm Cyclone Pam strafed the island nation of Vanuatu, and residents and relief agencies scrambled to help the affected. The LDS Church is sheltering many in meetinghouses, and missionaries contacted so far are safe.

LDS Church announces 5th, 6th temple dedications for 2015
