LONDON (AP) — Prince Harry is set to follow his mother's example and use part of his time in the fight against AIDS.

Harry plans to speak at an international AIDS conference in South Africa next month and to meet with doctors and nurses who are caring for HIV-positive patients in London.

His mother Princess Diana helped publicize the plight of AIDS victims in the late 1980s and also carried out many private visits.

Several charities welcomed Harry's involvement. He is involved with many charities and has worked to help wounded veterans of military service.
