CHICAGO (AP) — Chicago-based rapper Lil Durk has pleaded guilty to two weapons charges, but won't go to jail.

Citing court records, the Chicago Sun-Times (http://bit.ly/1v7IrQG ) reports the rapper, whose real name is Durk D. Banks, pleaded guilty in Chicago on Tuesday to felony aggravated unlawful use of a weapon and felony possession of a firearm.

The 21-year-old Banks was sentenced to probation for 18 months and 50 hours community service. He won't go to jail because the judge gave him credit for the 43 days he served.

The charges stem from an arrest in June 2013 on the city's South Side after police responding to a call of a person with a gun spotted Banks with a handgun.

Lil Durk is scheduled to release his debut album this year.
