LAS VEGAS (AP) — Country superstar Shania Twain will end her residency in Las Vegas with a final show Dec. 13, two years after she made a grand Sin City entrance on horseback and began performing at Caesars Palace.

Twain announced 16 "Shania: Still the One" shows in October and December, in addition to summer performances running through Saturday at the Colosseum — the same venue that hosts fellow Canadian Celine Dion.

"I can't thank Las Vegas enough," Twain said in a statement, calling the city "home" and noting an after-school program she launched in a needy Las Vegas school. "I started the first international Shania Kids Can clubhouse in Las Vegas because I love this city, and my time here has given me more than anyone can ever know."

The singer, known for hits including "Man! I Feel Like A Woman" and "That Don't Impress Me Much," came to town in November 2012. Traffic down the Las Vegas Strip was temporarily halted for a herd of horses that accompanied her on her grand entrance.

Her stage show features trained horses, a live band and a flying motorcycle.

Organizers said at the time that Twain's residency would be a two-year engagement. She will have performed more than 110 shows by the end of the year.
