OGDEN- One night after Division II Dixie State upset Division I power UNLV, Weber State had its own scare with a lower-division foe in a preseason exhibition game.

While the Wildcats ultimately outlasted Adams State, 85-77, there were several moments when the game was closer than Wildcats coaches, players or fans ultimately wanted.

After the game, Wildcats coach Randy Rahe and center Kyle Tresnak joined the media to share their thoughts on the performance.

HEAD COACH RANDY RAHE

Q: Where does the exhibition part of this factor in to the final score?

Q: Dixie upset UNLV last night. Did you guys talk about that at all? Did players talk about that- kind of fighting off the upset factor?

A: "Anything can happen this time of the year. You know, you get a team like tonight, or like Dixie, and they go into a Division I arena, and they have nothing to lose and they have no fear. And, they are playing like you wouldn't believe. I thought that's what happened tonight- those kids from Adams State were playing hard, aggressive, no worries, nothing to lose, and they were playing loosey goosey."

SENIOR C/F KYLE TRESNAK

Q: What does this say about you guys as you get ready for a big matchup next week in Provo?

A: "It shows that we need to work on some stuff. We're going to break down the film, get in the gym, and definitely work on the things we do, because we have the talent level to be successful."
