It's how he has been earning his Disabilities Awareness merit badge.

Brandon met the Shackleford family when they moved into his ward.

Ron Shackleford is in a wheelchair. He was paralyzed after a car accident. He wants to share his story to give others hope, that life can go on and be good.

To help share his story with others, he dictates it, while Brandon transcribes the interview.

"I've been able to take some of the topics that I've learned from their story and apply it more to my life, Brandon said.
