1 dead, trooper saved by vest in Layton shooting
A man is dead after a UHP trooper was shot in a construction zone near Hill Air Force Base Friday morning. Officers say the trooper's ballistic vest likely saved his life and believe the driver died due to a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
