MUSIC CLASS — When a pen and a desk is your instrument, the whole world is your recording studio. Well, as long as you have a pen and a desk.

Shane Bang has created a social media following around musique concrète, a style of music that layers sounds into a musical montage rather than using traditional musical instruments.

Bang uses pens, cups, desks, rulers, water and any other random instrument on hand to create his sound. In this particular video, Bank and his friend Kevin Baek used four pens and a ruler to make their unique musical sound, and it's pretty hard not to jam along with the beat.

This isn't the first time musicians have used odd instruments to make music, but Bang has carved his own niche, which he calls "Pen Beats." He has about 20 videos on his YouTube channel and a whole load of short clips on his Instagram account, where he puts the beats down under popular songs and even some Super Mario Brothers.

Just think, while you were in school getting down and out about tests and homework, you could have been getting down to this sick beat.
