BLACK MOUNTAIN, N.C. — Anyone who has had even a one-hour guardianship over a toddler knows that they are merely a bond servant in a toddler’s world.

Toddlerhood is an odd in-between stage where a baby has increased mobility and independence, yet they still dependent on others for everything that keeps them happy and healthy, from daily sustenance to bodily safety. Chasing a toddler around can be a full-time job that can control you all day, everyday.

For lack of a more delicate description, toddlers are tiny dictators.

As a hilariously unintentional illustration of a toddler's dictatorship, a group of 500 campers at Camp Rockmont in North Carolina decided to let a toddler control their actions.

The campers sit in a tightly packed group and the toddler stands before them, brimming with power. If he claps, they clap. If he raises his arms in delight, the campers raises their arms in delight.

At first the tot is unsure about what is happening. But once he understands his power, he uses it with glee, becoming an adorable one-minute dictator to hundreds.
