Lambert is vice chairman of the Salt Lake City-based Mormon Historic Sites Foundation. He plans to restore the house next summer.

SALT LAKE CITY (AP) — Unified Police say an officer has non-life threatening injuries after he was struck by a car driven by a suspect they were chasing. UNDATED (AP) —The renewed national scrutiny of the Confederate flag has Utah officials again considering changing the name of the picturesque Negro Bill Canyon. Grand County Councilwoman says the southern Utah canyon named after a black cowboy whose cattle grazed there in the 1870s is outdated at best. But Salt Lake City's NAACP president says the name makes it clear that the canyon is named for a black historical figure.

ST. GEORGE, Utah (AP) — A former professional football player who now lives in southern Utah says several of his trophies were recently stolen. The Spectrum newspaper in St. George reports that Marshall Shirk had several items stolen from his car collection, but that what pains him most are the trophies.
