Justin Miller of Salt Lake City asked lawmakers to schedule a vote on the governor's Medicaid plan next week. A committee voted down that plan on Wednesday evening and sent an alternative proposal from Rep. Jim Dunnigan to the floor.
SALT LAKE CITY (AP) — A California man accused of groping and sexually propositioning a teenage girl on a flight from Los Angeles to Salt Lake City is expected to be sentenced today. Hans Loudermilk pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor offensive touching charge in federal court in Utah in December, acknowledging touching the 15-year-old's chin and rubbing her leg.
OGDEN, Utah (AP) — Joel Bolomboy scored 22 points and grabbed 10 rebounds and Weber State kept its bid for a spot in the Big Sky Conference tournament alive with a 74-63 win over Idaho last night. Weber State is battling for one of three remaining tournament berths and pulled into a three-way tie for sixth place with Idaho and Portland State.
