LANCASTER, Pa. — The story of two teenage boys chasing a kidnapper on their bikes to save a little girl has gone viral.

Police in Pennsylvania said Jocelyn Rojas, 5, was snatched from her grandmother's front yard in Lancaster Township on Thursday afternoon, according to the New York Daily News. Rojas was abducted by a man offering to take her for ice cream as she played in the yard.

Police officers, family and neighbors immediately began searching the area going door-to-door. Temar Boggs, 15, and Chris Garcia were helping a friend move when police officers told them of the missing girl.

"We got all of our friends to go look for her," Boggs told Lancaster Online. "We made our own little search party."

Two hours after Rojas was reported missing, the teens said they spotted a girl matching Rojas' description inside a car with an elderly man. Boggs and Garcia began following the vehicle on their bicycles and police say the driver eventually stopped and let the girl out before driving off.

"As soon as the guy noticed we were chasing him, he stopped at the end of the hill and let her out, and she ran to me and said that she needed her mom," Boggs told local WGAL-TV.

Investigators said they were checking with area ice cream shops as they search for the suspect, who's between the ages of 50 and 70 and walks with a limp.

Despite receiving national attention for their actions, Boggs said he doesn't think he is a hero.

"I'm just a normal person who did a thing that anybody else would do," he said.
