My daughter has a science project at school coming up. She has always been interested with tornadoes. I am originally from Georgia so I know about them, but I am not real sure how to help make a tornado, do you have any advice? I know during weather school when I didn't work I tried to watch, but it has been a while.

The earth is pointed away from the sun more in December than any other month of the year including January. Therefore, why isn't December colder than January?

You can find some climate data online but this kind of particular request will probably cost you some dough.

What is the large ring around the room tonight? I think it looks cool my daughter thinks it looks creepy.

Creepy? That's the first time I've heard that on a moon halo. The ring around the moon is just a halo. It's caused by tiny ice crystals shaped like hexagons bending the light. You can get one around the sun sometimes too.

Why doesn't Utah get freezing rain, but snow instead? Does it have something to do with the humidity?
