A warning
issued today from the Consumer Product Safety Commission urges
consumers to be cautious during the holidays.
Each year,
more than 160 people die and 14,000 are injured in accidents
involving decorations such as christmas trees, candles and
lights.
Those same accidents caused $183 million in damage.
Regulators offer the following tips to ensure a safe holiday:

Put Live Tree Near Heat Source

Use Inside Lights Outside
- Make
Sure Lights Don't Have Broken Or Exposed Wires or Bulbs

Use Electric Lights On A Metallic Tree

Use Lighted Candles On A Tree

Use Small Decorations Around Small Children

Burning Wrapping Paper In Fireplace
