THE HIGHWAY — No one knows how that hay bale got on the road, but more than 1 million people have seen how the hay bale got off the road.

The hay bale was obstructing a road in central Missouri. The hay bale likely weighs more than 1,000 pounds — and could weigh much closer to 2,000 pounds.

A Missouri highway trooper, Isaiah Lemasters, encountered the hay bale and possibly thought, "Why call for heavy machinery when I can do this all by myself?"

And so he did, as this video shows:

At first, he gave it a little push. No go. He appears to try a bit of a push. The hay bale silently mocked him. That unspoken slight was all Lemasters needed to show the hay bale who's the boss.

Lemasters put his weight into it and delivered a haymaker with his own legs.

The balance of the fight was all on the trooper's side. About one minute later, the highway trooper had every reason to skip the gym that day.

He brushed some hay off his sleeves and swaggered away.
