THE MOVIE SET — Utah YouTubers, Working with Lemons, made a joyful tribute to Carrie Fisher and her mother Debbie Reynolds in a delightful mashup of Star Wars and “Singin’ in the Rain.”

Fisher may have been best known for her role as Princess Leia in the original Star Wars trilogy, but she also had a very famous mother. Debbie Reynolds had many roles with which you could describe her level of fame, but perhaps the most famous is “Singin’ in the Rain” (1952), which also starred Gene Kelly and Donald O’Connor.

Working with Lemons chose “Good Morning” from Reynold’s iconic film for their tribute to Fisher and Reynolds, who died within one day of each other at the end of 2016. However, in the video, instead of tweedy suits and a 20s-style dress, the three main players are Princess Leia, Han Solo and Chewbacca.

Even though this is technically a tribute to mother and daughter, I personally couldn’t take my eyes off Chewbacca. First of all, he “sings” in Wookiespeak, and second, he’s a terrible tap dancer. There, I said it. (I just hope I don’t meet him one day in a divey cantina as I would really like to keep my arms.)

Wookies aside, it truly is a fun and lighthearted tribute to Fisher and Reynolds, who appeared to be so close in life that they could not be separated by death.

Working with Lemons posted the video on March 3 because it’s never too late to pay tribute to the greats.
