CYBERTRON — I wasn’t that into Transformers when I was younger, but a Turkish company has just made me a huge fan.
In 2007, director Michael Bay brought us the first installment of the “Transformers” movie series. Now there are four movies, with a fifth scheduled for 2017. The movies gave us all a glimpse of what the nostalgic childhood toys made by Hasbro and Tomy would look like in a modern, 3-D setting.
Well, now a Turkish company is taking our fantasy one step further by creating a real-life Transformer car. Letvision created an ordinary-looking BMW magically transforms into a giant, metal autobot (that they call Letrons) and it’s amazing. Apparently, the car can actually drive as well, via remote control.
According to reports, Letvision wants to sell the Transformer cars, although it’s unclear just how much that would cost (you better have a couple million lying around, just in case.)
Maybe the whole thing is a hoax too, but even if it is, the video is worth watching.
