GARFIELD and CARBON COUNTIES -- Two people died in separate accidents on Utah's roads.
A Henrieville man was killed Tuesday when his motorcycle crashed into a car.
The Utah Highway Patrol said Wednesday that a 2005 Honda Accord was westbound on State Route 12 around 9 p.m. when it turned into a business on U.S. 89, cutting off a 2008 Harley Davidson Super Glide being driven by Robert William Adkins, 48.
Troopers said it appears Adkins' motorcycle began to skid in the eastbound lane as the Accord turned in front of it. The motorcycle tipped onto its side and slid into the right rear passenger door of the vehicle, the UHP said.
Adkins was transported to Garfield Memorial Hospital in Panguitch where he later died.
Adkins leaves behind a wife and six children.

Carbon County accident kills 1
A Michigan man was killed in an early morning crash on Highway 6 in Carbon County.
The UHP said a 2007 GMC Sierra was headed eastbound on the road about 12:30 a.m. Wednesday when it failed to negotiate a curve and crossed into oncoming traffic. The Sierra collided with a 1992 Lexus.
"There was no evasive action for either vehicle prior to the collision," the UHP said in a statement Wednesday.
The driver of the Sierra sustained injuries to his legs and was taken by ambulance to Utah Valley Regional Medical Center in Provo for treatment. Troopers said the driver of the Lexus was last reported to be in critical condition with head and leg injuries.
The passenger in the Lexus, identified as Robert Craig Jackson Sr., 63, of Hazel Park, Michigan, was pronounced dead on scene.
"We suspect fatigue was a factor in this accident," the UHP said.
Everyone was wearing their seatbelts except the driver in the GMC, troopers said.
In both accidents, once the investigations are complete the county attorneys will review the information for any possible charges.
